Soft Solutions Inc. announces the commercial release and availability of PDF Direct v1.0.

Atlanta, GA ---- July 5, 1999 ---- PDF Direct is a cross platform 4D plug-in providing direct printing and specification of Adobe Acrobat PDF files within 4D.

The most prevalent document format in the world, Portable Document Format (PDF) provides a single format accessible across all Windows, Macintosh and Unix platforms without loss of resolution.

PDF Direct provides programmer control over PDF file names, automated launching of the Acrobat Reader within 4D accessing 4D generated PDF files, complete print driver management, print dialog enabling and access to the full complement of PDF printing options. Available PDF printing options include document scaling, font imbedding, resolution control, page orientation and various compression options. PDF Direct can be used in conjunction with any 4D database application requiring PDF Output.

PDF Direct is $249/platform for a royalty-free Developer license. In addition, a cross-platform discounted licensing bundle is available now through Aug. 31, 1999.
