TCP/IP access allows a fax user to access the fax server from anywhere in the world. This gives companies with remote users superior flexibility, allowing employees to send and receive vital faxes over local Internet connections. Additionally, the new version takes the next step towards a unified messaging system, with the ability to fax forward to email using PDF attachments. 4-Sight Fax 5 supports multi-platform networks, with client support for Mac OS 8.6 and above and Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me, 2000 & XP. Version 5 additionally provides a robust client interface, an expanded address book, a powerful queue search and the ability view complete faxes, including cover pages prior to sending. An updated QuickFax feature replaces and expands upon the version 4 "Fax Draggin", a drag-and-drop utility. And, with the new Client Side Imaging, users can fax documents using the network fax server without a lengthy conversion process or the need to purchase extra application licenses for server-based imaging.
