First-ever Mac OS X enterprise fax software equips remote cross-platform users

Built on TCP/IP, 4-Sight Fax 5 eliminates common frustrations of business travelers needing fax capabilities. Additionally, as companies increase the number of work-at-home and remote-office employees, access to a central fax server via the Internet provides both strategic and competitive workflow advantages. With version 5’s direct Internet access capability, multi-office companies can fax to other company sites while avoiding toll charges. The new “fax forward to e-mail” feature automatically creates PDF files for those who prefer to receive their faxes as e-mail attachments.

Working Smarter
An improvement over server-side imaging fax products, 4-Sight Fax renders faxes directly from the client machine. Only client-side imaging allows users to preview a fax before sending and guarantees the image will contain all necessary fonts prior to being sent. Fax products using server-based imaging normally require businesses to purchase extra server licenses for all application software on the clients.

The entry-level version 5 price for the 1-line/5 user license is reduced to $495. Decreasing the customer’s payback period while increasing ROI, this price is designed to attract smaller, cost-conscious companies looking to improve workflow while cutting operating costs. The new cross-platform licensing is priced at 15% higher than Mac-only licenses. For 20% of list price a year, customers receive unlimited product updates, including toll-free telephone, fax and e-mail technical support. Competitive upgrade discounts are also available.

4-Sight Fax version 5 acts as an automated hub for sending and receiving inbound and outbound faxes via class 2 fax modems.
